The BHA salutes all the brave emergency responders who rushed into the danger to save our lives and homes.
On the morning of October 28, we awoke to the sounds of sirens and the burning glow of a raging fire.
Thankfully, everyone was evacuated safely, but our thoughts are with those that lost homes in the blaze.
Our membership is eternally grateful for the men and women who battled the fury and saved our neighborhood.
The BHA will continue to support LAFD by providing meals and firehouse furnishings on behalf of our members.
At our Nov 12 meeting, we will discuss more perpetual support for Police and Fire agencies.
Annual Meeting 2019
The BHA has been holding an annual meeting for decades but the past few years have drawn hundreds of members, even when no hot button issue is on the table. The University Synagogue has proven to be a great venue as the location is central to our members. This year, firefighters from local Station 19 were on hand to mingle with the crowd and talk about fire safety. Councilmember Bonin weighed in on several local issues. Raymond Klein, who has served as president for the past three years, will be stepping down from his post, but will remain active on the board.
